GEOGRAPHY

GEOGRAPHY

Eilleas is considerably larger than Cephri, though its true extent is unknown as no map of the entire continent currently exists. To the south, across the Smoking&Shadow seas is the continent of Oflus.

The geography and climate of Eilleas varies greatly. It is affected less by winters than Cephri.

The western coastline appears to be temperate in the north, becoming drier and hotter to the south, and is characterized by green rolling hills, the massive forests surrounding the many branches of the river Rhind particularly near Rhinder. The middle of the continent is covered by the tropical forests near Neropos and Centros directly above them the flat land of the Horserider sea and, to the east, the arid wasteland of red sand known as the Great Waste however as you go further east the sand turns into an icy wasteland, where nothing grows.

Beyond this desert, there are the shadow lands a mysterious zone of city veiled by dark mountains.

REGIONS

REGIONS

Eilleas is divided into several regions, each home to distinct cultural groups.

FREE CITIES

The Free Cities are independent city states. These include Ivica, Werguild, Seacross, New Nish, Norfold, Aikos and Rhinder. Most of them are coastal cities but some are inland. They were founded by the former slaves of the Celtigan Empire.

SHADOWLANDS

Little is known about the Shadowlands, to the Cephrians it is the most eastern part in the world. These places are the are known for their teachings of necromancy and dark magic. The city of Palaptis-by-the-shadow is supposed to have night all day, the city is thought to be 5 times the size of King's Landing and the objects there built from an oily black stone. The cities of Uskerioa and Paslpatis are hidden by the Black mountains. Although Takama-Go-Hara is not behind the mountains it is still classified as part of the Shadowlands.

SLAVE EMPIRES

The region hold several small cities and the three great city ports Aswen,Uswen and Oswen. Due to the smoking sea and the dangers it presents all the ships that travel to the Slave Empires and the Shadow sea have to pass through a tributary of the River Rhind. The Slave Empires have a long storied history  and they were founded from the men of the Griiok Empire.

LITTLE CEPHRI

New Cephri and Cephritown were set up by Ser Leo Valdez a great Cephri sailor, thanks to Ser Leo we have the current maps today. Since Ser Leo would travel from Cephri and to Eilleas he had set up Cephritown as a second home for him in Eilleas. It also helped him as a reliable place where he could stop and sleep in, it was also a place where other Cephri travellers could stay and commute. Ser Leo's fabled ship was called the Argo II, his ship's figurehead was a golden dragon called Festus. The towns of Cephritown and New Cephri rapidly grew and helped the inhabitants of Eilleas understand Cephri a foreign place where they had no contact with.

MYTHICAL CITIES

Sifos, View and Neropos are known as the Mythical Cities due to their magical beauty. the city of Neropos lies behind the 3 volcanoes and to the left of the mythical forest, Neropos used to be the home of the Celtigan Empire however since the eruptions of all 3 volcanoes and the destruction of the Celtigan Empire Neropos has been home to a unified council of rulers.

HORSERIDER RIVER

The vast grassland plain known as the Horserider river covers much of inland Eilleas. It is inhabited by the Dothrael people, a copper-skinned race of warlike nomads with their own language and unique equestrian culture. While the Dothrael do not trade, their slave raids are a driving force of Eilleas's economy due to the Great Waste the Dotharel people travel down there to get slaves from the Slave Empires. They leave the people of Takama-Go-Hara due to an extreme fear of the city, whenever they pass the city it is said they slaughter one slave to their gods to appease them from the city.

PIRATE BAY

Pirate Bay is the collection of trade cities in the north of Eilleas - Lios, New Rios, Niesta Port and The Port of Pirates are the main port cities in the Pirate Bay. Most of the trade here is of the black market with things sold such as hostages, ships, fishes to all sorts of new underground drugs such as slime opium. Previously the bay of Trade was called the bay of Crabs due to the fact the headlands of Lies and Rios looked like pincers from a crab.

EXTREME CITIES

The extreme cities are the ones that are located in the Great Waste or past the Great Waste, one count would be  the old settlement of Mythos, it is believed to be the place where the First Men lived before migrating to Cephri.

PEOPLE

PEOPLE

Eilleas is home to a much larger and more diverse set of races and cultures than Westeros. They are descendants of old cultures ranging from the Nishans, the Griiokans, and Celtigan Freehold. Unlike Cephri, which is unified under the Seven Kingdoms, Eilleas is divided into many different sovereign regions and city-states and has had no dominant power since the Celtigan Freehold fell almost nine centuries ago. Its peoples include:

  • Dothrael, a copper-skinned race of warlike nomads with their own language and unique culture.

  • Griiokans, a mongrel race that populates most of Slaver's Bay, there are some Griiokans that live in Aikos and Naraka.

  • Peoples of the Free Cities, descendants of the Celtigan Freehold and their slaves.

  • Lhazareen, a peaceful people with bronze skin, flat faces, and almond eyes. They are predominantly shepherds who worship the Great Shepherd and are called the 'Lamb Men' by the Dothrael, who frequently prey on them.

  • Sifosi, the inhabitants of Sifos.

  • Ibbenese fishing colonies in the north.

  • Nishan, the inhabitants of New Nish.

  • Ja'eel, a race orange skinned people who tame great Tigers and live in Takama-Go-Hara.

  • Janapese, or Sagaez Fen meaning "Short Men", the yellow-skinned, black-haired people of Takama-Go-Hara.

  • Ivicans, the bright-eyed people of Ivica

  • Gurilli, the "tall men of the jungle", they are a tribe near Ivica that are more tribe like than civilised.
