An interpretation of how Jon looks
Ser Jon Darklyn is part of King Aeyron's Kingsguard. A nickname he has gained is being called "the Dark Sword".

As a member of the kingsguard he is unable to marry nor hold any lands so he is in complete devotion to his position. At the start of ACFaK he is 23 years old.

Ameer Akhtar says this about Jon- "he was based of someone but then I scrapped that idea because Jon and him were nothing alike, Jon is passionate, someone who may do things with his heart instead of his head but that is in rare occasion."

APPEARANCE
Ser Jon has white skin which is not tanned at all, his hair is black as the night but it is not styled in any way, his own eyes were the same as his hair black like crows.

Jon is of average size not small nor tall, it is not stated how tall Jon is but if Aeyron is considered taller than normal then we can say Jon is about 5'9'' or 5'10''
Jon Darklyn is quite a difficult one because there is no permanent image of him in my mind. I would say the hair would be pretty much the same perhaps a bit shorter. This particular fanart shows Jon as handsome, in my eyes, Jon has never struck me as handsome but I would say his looks are alright for himself, he's better than average but apart from those this is quite accurate to how I see Jon.

RECENT EVENTS
A CROWN FOR A KING
After reading the Book of Brothers Jon encounters Ser Jaime Casterly, the two of them insult eachother. Later Ulthor attempts to gain Jon's allegiance which he firmly refuses. Jon leads fifteen thousand of the king's forces out of King's Landing, commanded by Jon they would meet with Lord Ben Royce at GoldGift. Nestor Nik's army ambushes them while 7,000 escape, the rest are killed or captured-including Jon Darklyn who is captured by Nestor's forces.

In Nestor's camp Jon is tortured by Nestor, Ardyn Kall and Ser Hoare Lorch. He is saved by Soniya Cross who enters the camp disguised as a medic. On the run from Nestor's army they hold back and let Nestor pass, the two go to the nearby castle of RedWater Keep to find it sacked and overrun with outlaws. Soniya who ventured alone into the castle is captured by outlaws while a malnourished Jon fights to get her back. Doing the fighting Jon eliminates them all except for the Red Baron who he battles against. In his current state Jon fights neck and neck with the Baron. The Baron overpowers Jon who is about to kill him until Soniya stabs the Baron saving Jon.

In the feast after the Battle of King's Landing Soniya reunites Jon with the Kingsguard and Aeyron. Before the Battle of Bloodwater Soniya, Jon, Lewyn and Domeric engage in friendly battle. During the Battle of Bloodwater she fights to the left of the bridge with her brother Harrion Cross; Jon Darklyn abandons his duties as Kingsguard by rushing over to aid Soniya and Harrion.
A Mate for Darkness:Sun and Snow
Jon Darklyn followed the Northerners up north to help their campaign to rid their lands of sellswords and Bronzemen. Jon has stayed in The North for the time being however. Before he left King's Landing, he gifted Soniya a new set of armour and two new Celtigan Steel swords. In The North, Jon and Lord Forrester go to the Godswood and Lord Cregan prays. However he jumps back after seeing the face of his dead son Gerold in the Mythood tree, he's determined that his son is alive and the Gods have answered him. Lord Darion Bolton awaits Jon in the crypts of WinterFort, there he shows Jon some Forrester's that have wronged his family in the past, however Bolton says that he will not do what they did, he's going to help Lord Forrester find his son.

Lord Forrester decides that Lord Bolton should lead the search for Gerold, with Jon and Soniya accompanying him. Soniya and Jon talk, and she's certain that he wants to go home and she's passive aggressive against him. Soniya is critical of Bolton's plan to find Gerold, she thinks they're just aimlessly looking around. Jon also expressed disbelief in Lord Bolton's plan so Bolton decides to change his plan for one day, and if they don't find Gerold they can't complain. They go to the mountain clans to see if they know anything but they don't, Jon is confused by them continually referring to Bolton as zichski; which he later finds out means vampire.

Bolton leaves Jon and Soniya, searching some other place for them. Meanwhile Soniya and Jon have been harassed by what they think are Bronzemen, they keep on going until they are chased by men on horses. Jon is pushed off a cliff but he holds on, Soniya comes to help him but Lord Bolton appears behind them. He tells Jon that he needs Gerold dead, he burnt WinterFort and Jon kept on pushing. Bolton lets them fall off the cliff but isn't sure they're dead, Bolton's son believes they are dead, Bolton threatens to skin them if they're alive.
