LORD TYWON CASTERLY
Tywon Casterly is the lord of Casterly Rock and in the eye of many the "true lord" of the Proudlands. He is one of the most powerful men in Cephri and nearly the richest.
Tywon is widowed after the death of his wife Lady Emily Casterly, (Emily was his cousin however cousin marriages are not seen as incestious). At the start of ACFaK he is 67.

Ameer Akhtar says this about Tywon-"Tywon is cunning and calculating, you should never mess about with Tywon because he will make it his goal to utterly destroy you, he has lived until 67 in a very dangerous world, if everyone plays chess Tywon would be the one above the game betting on it, his power is indescribable so when he enters the story everything will be turned upside down."

Tywon is a commanding figure despite being 67 and shrinking he is still 6'2'', his hair has gone from gold to white and has been balding, he has a stern face which is hard to read, his jawline is sharp, his eyes always watching. The corners of his lips are curled ever the slightest down.

A CROWN FOR A KING
Tywon is a commanding figure and is a hard man but I think in his face he is more relaxed. In the picture he has a long and stern face; the Casterlys are a beautiful set of people so there could be small pockets of his former beauty masked in judgement.
Before the Battle of the Bloodwater Tywon moves his army to Widow's Wail. After the Battle he put Widow's Wail under siege, which was then called off by King Aeyron who ordered Tywon to take Knife's Edge, he successfully captures Knife's Edge and is named the Lord of Knife's Edge.
A MATE FOR DARKNES:SUN AND SNOW
Lord Tywon is the new Master of Laws after the departure of Ser Samuel Royce. Tywon routinely doesn't worry about Rhaenerys Blackfyre and her families' so called dragons, he isn't in a state of panic like the others are. Although he does keep Rhaenerys within arms reach, having Snakecharmer send out an affiliate that can spy on her for them. Aeyron and Tywon discuss his marriage throughout the story, Ignis is shut out by Aeyron who would rather spend his time discussing things with Tywon.

Tywon criticises the council for continually fighting over each other, they don't understand where the power lies he suggest.
