Is Jon Darklyn's story finished?

Back in BOOK 2 Jon and Soniya reached a conclusion in their story, Jon after finding out about Aeyron's marriage decides to reject the Kingsguard and he stays with Soniya at Ninestones. Then in Book 3 he is notoriously absent throughout the story, until he makes a small cameo in one of Aeyron's chapters. Enraged at finding out an undead Mountain has replaced him in the Kingsguard, he fights with Aeyron shouting and voicing his displeasure at his replacement. Aeyron turns Jon away denoting that 'Jon Darklyn betrayed Jon Darklyn', and following that confrontation Jon does not appear again. Considering that he was a pivotal character in book 1 has he really reached his conclusion? It may be so...
