“The beast from the East is stirring
To Take back their crown
The Dead’s colour fades from brown
brown to white
They move silent like the night
The son of Winter is beyond
Death and him will have a close bond
The Angel is dying
A little babe is crying
He will be hidden under a cloak of Orange
but his true face will be foreign
The Freemen are coming down
Let them in or your men will drown
The army grows bigger by the day
burn your men or they will join this way
The Dragon slept but now it is awake”
-The first line is apparent, it mentions Rhaenerys Blackfyre. But before in the book when she were mentioned it were specific that she had not made any attempts to go after the throne, but according to The Ghost it seems she has started to ready her forces.
-Now the third line isn't clear and the 'brown to white' doesn't make much sense at the moment.
-The sixth line we can deduce one feature, 'The son of Winter is beyond'. Gerold Forrester by this point has had to have left The North by now, on his way to the Freefolk lands. It can mean no-one else but him.
-The eighth line speaks about Joanna who is dying which the next line explains.
-'A little babe is crying' speaks about Joanna and Ulthor's child, this makes the last line clear-that Joanna is dying from complications after childbirth. What The Ghost fails to mention though is the other child of the two.
-The next lines spoil the ending of the book, the son of Joanna and Ulthor-Cyrus will be proclaimed as Aeyron Archer's son under his cloak of Orange(the Archer colour) however his true nature is of Ulthor Young.
-'The Freemen are coming down' definitely mentions the Freefolk and their massive army.
-The next lines are illusive but link to the first few lines about the Dead and Gerold.
-The final line links back to the first about Rhaenerys Blackfyre.
